I thought that Helena Bonham Carter's portrayal of a mad Ophelia was the best of all the actresses who played Ophelia. She came across as quite crazy, and I found the other iterations to be slightly overacted.

Personally, Mel Gibson's portrayal of Hamlet was heart felt to the dime as someone who is going insane and losing touch with reality.

Mel Gibson gave an amazing role at Hamlet, in my opinion! With two different sides to him, Gibson kept his audiance engaged as he went from normal to crazy. I thought that this film was quite true to the writing of Willam Shakespeare himself. The acting and film setting was well thoughout, and keep me interested throughout the whole story.

Hamlet is an intense and cutthroat story with the lead role Hamlet, played by Mel Gibson. He played the role perfectly in my mind and you could see even in his eyes that he was changing throughout the story into a very crazy and confused character.

I loved this movie, it was a great role for Mel Gibson, he really personified his character. The character of Ophelia was perfect! I thought the acting in this movie was just great and made the story even better
